Kevin Fong

Kevin Fong is an anaesthetist at University College Hospital London and a pre-hospital doctor with Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance. He holds degrees in astrophysics, medicine and engineering and has worked with NASA’s human space exploration programme at Johnson Space Center in Houston. At University College London Kevin is an honorary professor of public engagement in science and medicine, as well as a lecturer in the division of biosciences, where he runs an undergraduate course in extreme environment physiology. He is currently a Wellcome Innovation and Engagement Fellow. His first book – about the relationship between medicine, exploration and survival in the 20th century – is Extremes: Life, death and the limits of the human body.
