Sathnam Sanghera is a writer and journalist at the ‘Times’. He is also a trustee and the board chair for the charity Creative Access, which helps find internships in creative industries for young people from under-represented backgrounds.
He has presented a number of radio documentaries for the BBC. His first book, ‘The Boy with the Topknot’ – a memoir about growing up in Wolverhampton in the 1980s – was named the 2009 Mind Book of the Year. He was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters for services to journalism by the University of Wolverhampton in September 2009 and a President’s Medal by the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2010.
